Exchanging Household Help for Home-Sharing

There is no one way to home-share. There are many arrangements through which community members can build fulfilling home-sharing relationships. Understanding this variety can help communities to develop strategies that best serve community members. In this session, Amy Applegate discusses how her organization, SHARE Sonoma County, has created a home-sharing program that takes advantage of the 60 000 empty bedrooms within the county to match up landlords and tenants to help individuals find, and keep, affordable housing.
