About this speaker
Patrick grew up in Cincinnati and graduated with a BA in Architecture from Miami University and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Immediately following graduation, Patrick served for 1 year with AmeriCorps and the Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky working on financing and home renovation projects for low-income families. Following his year of service, he moved to Chicago and has been living there ever since.
Patrick spent his first 6 years in Chicago managing the construction of apartment developments and single-family homes. He also currently owns and manages 2 multifamily buildings in Chicago.
In 2013, he founded a non-profit organization (Build Abroad) which builds homes in developing and disaster-prone countries, such as Haiti and Nepal. His passion for housing carries over to his newest endeavor, Digs, which helps people save for their first home and provides tools to optimize their mortgage over their lifetime as a homeowner.
