About this Speaker
In 2013, Michael left a promising legal career to join the staff of Acts Housing, an organization for which he had been an engaged volunteer. Over its 25-year history, Acts has helped more than 2,700 families become sustainable homeowners, more than 850 of whom have purchased and rehabbed distressed homes. These families have invested more than $138 million in the purchase and rehab of their homes and have had a 94% success rate at sustaining long-term homeownership.
Michael, a former professional poker player, earned his law degree from the University of Chicago and worked as a finance attorney at a large Wisconsin law firm. He was a 2019 Milwaukee Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree. Michael lives in Milwaukee with his wife, a high school English teacher, and his sons Roger and George.
